Karen Chan

Karen is an experienced Agile Coach who helps organizations achieve their business transformation objectives using agile frameworks and methodologies. Karen has led and coached teams at scale, from initiation to execution. Karen was most recently the Director and Managing Agile Coach of the Wealth and Insurance Agile CoE at a top Canadian Bank. She has held Agile and LEAN coaching roles across banking, insurance, fintech, digital marketing, and manufacturing. ​​​

Coached multi-team delivery projects from initiation through planning to launch, including agile training and team design, backlog creation and refinement, high level sprint planning, and the establishment of working agreements​

Led the Agile Centre of Excellence, including coaching executives on cultural transformation using agile, growing adoption of the bank’s agile framework across the segments of Wealth and Insurance, and developing scrum masters and agile coaches into transformational change agents​

Coached senior management on the development and adoption of LEAN practices within digital media, marketing and sales for a Canadian publisher​

Coached the implementation of a consolidated loyalty program for a Canadian retail CPG encompassing marketing, branding, and front-end design and development​

Coached the transition of the Insurance, Wealth Data, and Insurance Data business units into a Product Factory, scaling from one-off projects into a multi-team production model​

Facilitated executive and stakeholder workshops for technology transformation, product roadmap planning, and portfolio management​
