Our B-Corp Commitment

We have some exciting news to share! In a stride towards corporate sustainability, ADAPTOVATE has taken the first steps towards B Corp certification, a move that every ADAPTOVATE office across the globe is taking part in.

B Lab is a non-profit organization dedicated to reshaping the global economy to benefit all people, communities, and the planet and according to their website (as we go to print) there are over 7000 Certified B Corporations spanning more than 92 countries and over 161 industries.

B Corp certification is a mark of excellence given to companies that demonstrate high standards in social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. It’s a comprehensive process that evaluates a company across five key areas: governance, workers, community, environment, and customers.

As a global management consulting firm, ADAPTOVATE hold a firm commitment to standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. The B Corp certification is a testament to that commitment.

ADAPTOVATE is a global company with offices in locations such as the USA, Australia, Singapore, Poland, Canada, and the UK. We take pride in our international presence and the diverse perspectives it brings to our work. Our presence in multiple countries allows us to understand and cater to the unique needs and expectations of diverse markets.

The decision to pursue B Corp certification was made collectively, reflecting our global commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. It is a transformative and rewarding experience of continuous improvement and positive impacts to our community.

The assessment process prompts companies to scrutinise their practices and pinpoint areas for enhancement. It’s an ongoing process of learning and growth, which are highly valued at ADAPTOVATE.

In Asia the movement for B Corp certification is gaining traction. According to Asian digital media company Eco-Business “The number of B Corps in Asia reached 161 in March 2022, surpassing the previous year’s full-year tally”

In Southeast Asia examples of B Corp certified businesses include: Aqua (a bottled water brand in Indonesia), The Inceptery (a sustainability consultancy in Singapore), Genashtim (an e-learning firm in Malaysia), Saitex (a manufacturing firm in Vietnam), and Yever (a business consultancy in Myanmar). Since 2022 B Corp certified companies in Singapore have grown from 19 to 39 out of ~400,000 registered businesses. This is a clear indication that we are on the journey but have a long way to go.

In conclusion, while the path towards B Corp certification is demanding, it’s also incredibly fulfilling. It offers businesses an opportunity to align their actions with their values and make a positive impact on the world.
