Our team is the greatest asset we have, and it’s a privilege to share just a little bit more about who they are. This month we feature Marcus Tan, one of our team in Singapore.
First up - how long have you worked with us?
I started in January 2021
Why did you join us? Were you in the industry previously, or looking for a new career direction?
It was my first job straight after graduation!
How has your previous experience and career helped define where you are now? Would you have done things differently?
I would have not done anything differently. I was previously an aspiring chef who went to culinary school and worked in the industry for less than a year before starting my military conscription. My time in the kitchen taught me the importance of being agile, reacting to unforeseen changes, and staying calm under pressure. All traits that are useful in my current role.
Which talent would you most like to have?
Problem Solving, imagine the possibilities!
What do you most value in your friends and in colleagues - and are they different things?
Friends can be colleagues and colleagues can be friends. I've met some amazing people in my time at ADAPTOVATE and have made some amazing friendships, they were at my wedding and one even emceed at my wedding!
What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Being healthy, having a happy home, and enjoying good wine!
What is your greatest extravagance
Natural wine mostly, but good wine is good wine

Which historical figure do you most identify with?
I don't have a name in mind. There was probably someone in history that was happy, comfortable with their lives and themselves, living a good and comfortable life. I want to be that person.

Take things as they come

Trust yourself
