In collaboration with the municipality client, ADAPTOVATE designed a climate execution prioritization and plan.
Key approaches
- Align the working team and Board of Directors around a single vision for “what the organization wants to be when it grows up”
- Prioritize the delivery of climate initiatives based on effort and potential emission reduction
- Identify net-new revenue and funding streams for organization, specifically for its clean infrastructure projects.
- Develop a clear winning strategy that the team can collectively work towards, with actionable initiatives that connect each team member to a broader purpose
This challenge was complex because:
The team was operating at capacity, and needed to find new ways to prioritize the most impactful work on an ongoing basis
The city’s emissions goals were rapidly approaching, and the organization needed to show progress in its emissions reduction to show continued viability to the City
Changes to the group’s operating model were creating requirements for additional sources of sustainable and climate-focused revenue
