THE BACK STORY – LAUREN MANSFIELD

Lauren Mansfield – United States

The Back Story monthly interview features ADAPTOVATE employees from around the world.

Our team is the greatest asset we have, and it’s a privilege to share just a little bit more about who they are. This month we feature Lauren Mansfield a Senior Consultant in our US office.

First up – how long have you worked with us?

I started in January 2021

Why did you join us? Were you in the industry previously, or looking for a new career direction?

I was looking to join a firm that provided an environment

where I can deliver immediate impact to both the company and the clients, as well as personal growth and career development opportunities. I liked that the work culture included testing and learning across the organization, empoweringus as employees to be creative and innovative in all of our work.

How has your previous experience and career helped define where you are now? Would you have done things differently?

Absolutely, I’ve learned so much from my former and current colleagues. I am grateful for all of my previous career experiences, and hope to continue to grow though my work journey.

What is your idea of perfect happiness?

I’m not sure if there’s such a thing as “perfect happiness”, but the feeling after a good long run seems to come pretty close.

What is your greatest extravagance

I enjoy traveling with my loved ones.

Lauren’s first hot air balloon ride in Temecula.

Which talent would you most like to have?

I’m currently learning to golf, so right now I’d love to make a hole-in-one one day! One of my golf buddies recently did and it was inspiring.

What do you most value in your friends and in colleagues – and are they different things?

In anyone I appreciate integrity and positivity. I believe those two attributes can make any bad situation good – and any good situation better.

Which historical figure do you most identify with?

Growing up I’ve always had a lot of respect for NASA engineer Katherine Johnson. While I would never compare myself directly to her great work, she continues to inspire me to be better to this day.

What is your motto?

Draw a line, live above it.

Finally – You’ve time travelled back to your 10- year old self – What advice would you give?

I think the following quote would inspire younger me to dream bigger: “Impossible is not a declaration, it’s a dare. Take it.”

Two of Lauren’s favourite things – Hiking and Dogs!
