Our higher education institution came to us with this challenge:

We are an Australian Education Institution, which is going through a large-scale transformation. Our teams don’t have a common language for us to be able to define what our core business capabilities are, and therefore it’s creating a challenge to deliver on our strategic objectives. Can you help?

In collaboration with the Institution we developed a Business Capability Framework .

Key approaches from ADAPTOVATE helped:

  • Co-create a target state business capability mapping using their existing strategy, level 1 process, and KPI driver tree​
  • Identify their least developed and core business capabilities that are most critical for success 
  • Map their transformation program releases to understand what capabilities will be delivered/improved in each release and resolution of sequencing implications
  • Map the IT architecture onto the business capability model to understand which systems were required to be modernised to deliver the critical capabilities and understand the sequencing of modernisation​
