Our higher education institution came to us with this challenge:

We are an Australian Education Institution, which is going through a large-scale transformation. Our teams don’t have a common language for us to be able to define what our core business capabilities are, and therefore it’s creating a challenge to deliver on our strategic objectives. Can you help?

In collaboration with the Institution we developed a Business Capability Framework .

Key approaches from ADAPTOVATE helped:

Co-create a target state business capability mapping using their existing strategy, level 1 process, and KPI driver tree
Identify their least developed and core business capabilities that are most critical for success
Map their transformation program releases to understand what capabilities will be delivered/improved in each release and resolution of sequencing implications
Map the IT architecture onto the business capability model to understand which systems were required to be modernised to deliver the critical capabilities and understand the sequencing of modernisation
